About

Benson Baril is a studio vocalist and songwriter from Alberta, Canada. He has been singing since he was a toddler strapped into his carseat, belting out radio tunes, and hasn’t stopped singing since. He is the middle of five children in a musical family.

Benson taught himself to improvise and arrange songs on the piano. He has created numerous YouTube recordings of pop song covers since he was 12.  He has also recorded several of his mother’s compositions (Sara Lyn Baril). He is now writing his own songs and released two in 2022.

Benson has had some amazing experiences doing professional studio work in Utah and Arizona. Amongst one of his first recording experiences is a duet with America’s Got Talent’s finalist, Evie Clair on a Christmas song his mother wrote called, “Light The World”, which was featured on the ComeUntoChrist.org Facebook page and other social media sites and platforms during Christmas of 2017. His iPhone video demo of Light The World reached almost 1M in less than a week, which led to the amazing recording/video opportunity with Evie. He has also recorded on a song when he was 8 years old with the One Voice Children’s Choir and a song called Even If The World Stops with Kids America. He also recorded a single, “Hallelujah” which features the beautiful sound Benson had when he was a child.

Benson has performed in many church functions, firesides, concerts, programs and talent shows, and he enjoys sharing his talents wherever he can. His desire to share is focused on inspiring others with uplifting music and messages. He has a great love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he hopes to share the gospel through his music, taking opportunities as they arise.

When Benson isn’t working on music, he enjoys time with friends, hunting, wake surfing and snowboarding.

He will be serving a mission in the Florida Jacksonville Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, starting December 2022. Follow his profile on Facebook to keep up with his mission and some music he may share while serving.
